Jayne M. Krautkramer

Jayne M. Krautkramer, 66, Wausau, died peacefully at home on Friday, September 25, 2015 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Jayne was born March 20, 1949 in Phillips, Wisconsin to Joseph and Laura Kozak. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1967 and on July 12, 1969, married Thomas Krautkramer. After moving to Wausau, Jayne worked at Wausau Insurance for several years prior to becoming a stay at home mom until her children were older. She was also a partner and company bookkeeper in the family's ginseng business. One of Jayne's favorite pastimes was gardening, and she took great pride in creating the many flower gardens around her home. Jayne had a special love for dogs and enjoyed many hours outside with them as they played in and around the surrounding fields and ponds. She will be remembered as a compassionate and kindhearted person by all who knew her. Jayne is survived by her husband Thomas A., Wausau, daughter Angela, Madison, son Thomas J., Weston, her sister Janice (Ray) Hollinger, Phillips, brother Keith (Jamie) Kozak, Phillips and brother Ken (Jana) Kozak, Phillips, her dog Meggie and granddogs Blue, Magic and Bella. Preceding her in death were her parents and an infant brother Richard. Friends may call Sunday, September 27, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 28, at 11:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Schaller will preside. Private family burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park at a later date. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
