Jay R. Pergolski

Jay R. Pergolski 43, T9078 No. 33rd St., Wausau, died Friday July 23, 2004 at Wausau Hospital, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. He was born August 18, 1960 in Wausau, son of the late Leonard and Lorraine (Herzog) Pergolski. Jay earned a Millwright Degree from NTC. For 26 years he was employed at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital, with his most recent position as Maintenance Technician. Outdoor activities were favorite's of Jay's, especially hunting, boating and fishing. He had a true love of life and the friends that surrounded him. Survivors include his wife, Shelley Mueller, Wausau, a son, Matthew Pergolski, at home, a sister, Shirley (John) Bauman, Mosinee, brothers, Mike (Lori) Pergolski, St. Germain, Pat (Patrice) Pergolski, Schofield, Gary Pergolski, Janesville, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vera "Vicki" and Dick Mueller, Wausau, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including Jay's special friend and brother-in-law, Jeff (Shaune) Harter, Sue (Lee) Koening, Sandy (Gene) Roesler, all of Wausau, Terry (Gina) Mueller, Merrill and Nancy Mueller, Wausau, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lorraine Pergolski, grandparents, Anton and Virginia Pergolski and Joseph and Minnie Herzog, and a borther-in-law, Thomas Mueller. The funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, July 26, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Rafacz will preside. Burial will be in the St. Germain Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Sixth Street funeral home. Special thanks to all of Jay's friends for the support and encouragement they provided him and his family, during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
