Jason P. Giles, 42, Wausau, died Wednesday October 8, 2014.
He was born December 11, 1971, in Wausau, son of David and Christine (Stieber) Giles.
Jason was a 1990 graduate of Newman High School, attended North Central Technical College and received a Bachelors Degree in Business from Mount Scenario College. Later, he earned an Electro-Mechanical Degree. In the past, he had been employed in various sales and manufacturing positions and was currently employed at Greenheck Fan Corporation. In 1990, he served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
In high school, he enjoyed various sports, including baseball and football. He was very proud of his football accomplishments at Mt. Scenario College and also enjoyed golf. Above all, his greatest sports passion was fishing and camping with his children. He found a true sense of peace and happiness on the water.
Survivors include his children, Bryce Giles and Riley Giles; a step-daughter, Kaley Bruess Giles; his parents, David and Christine Giles; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Giles, his grandparents, Claude and Norma Giles and Edwin and Mary Stieber.
A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Rev. Greg Bohren will preside with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
