Janet M. Steder

Janet M. Steder 59, Athens, died Saturday November 25, 2006 at her home under the care of Ministry Hospice after a courageous, well fought battle against cancer. She was born December 31, 1946, in Marathon County, daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Clara (Wojciechowski) Guralski. On May 28, 1966, she married Lyle Steder in Poniatowski. He survives. Janet was a homemaker and truly enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and playing cards, especially Canasta. Survivors include her husband, Lyle Steder, Athens, four children, Brian (Virginia) Steder, Wausau, Tammy (Terry) Hoesly, Edgar, Amy (Pat) Borchardt, Rothschild, Bruce Steder, Wausau, 13 grandchildren, five brothers, Ervin (Veronica) Guralski, Marshfield, Art (Annabelle) Guralski, Wausau, Robert (Alice) Guralski, Abbottsford, Ray (Stacie) Guralski, Edgar, Walter Jr. (Gertie) Guralski, Athens, six sisters, Dolores Gajewski, Edgar, Joanie (Norman) Soczka, Edgar, Violet (Zane) Farkas, Wausau, Lucille (Jim) Kleparski, Marathon, Barbara (Norman) Diers, Athens, Agnes Guralski, Wausau. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Albert and Leroy and a grandchild, Montana Rose. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Weds. November 29, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski and again on Weds. from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church. Pallbearers for the service will be Randy Guralski, John Gajewski, Kevin Soczka, Ken Soczka, Jerome Pliska and Robert Witucki. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hope Lodge, Marshfield. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to her sister-in-law, Annette Bohman and her niece, Wanda Witucki for the extra love and support through the past two years.
