Janet Hoppe

Janet Hoppe 81, Weston, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born October 10, 1925 in Wausau, daughter of the late Arthur G. and Mary J. (Gardner) Rasmussen. On May 11, 1946, she married Roger W. Hoppe in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1974. Janet was a self-employed real estate broker until the time of her retirement and was also a real estate appraiser during her business career. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Among her many interests, she enjoyed gardening, photography and craftwork, especially dried flower arranging. Survivors include, two children, David L. (Cathy) Hoppe, DePere and Sue Ann (Thomas) Whisenhunt, Camino, Cal.; three grandsons; one granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; two nieces, one nephew; and several cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Roger, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Heric. The memorial mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Inurnment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from Noon until time of services at the church.
