Jan Jarovski

Jan "John" Jarovski 85, Wausau, died Wednesday, November 22, 2006 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born June 25, 1921 in Rajcza, Poland son of the late Michel and Francis (Krzepina) Jarovski. On June 24, 1945, he married Katherine Kozina in Germany. She preceded him in death on May 31, 2004. John worked for the former Wausau Construction for many years, and retired from Marathon County in 1986, where he worked in bridge construction. Among his many interests, he enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and for the past 15 years, working at the Wausau Farmer's Market. John was an active and faithful member of the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Survivors include, three children, Stanley (Barbara) Jarovski, Sioux Falls, SD, Richard (Chia) Jarovski, Fairfield, Cal. and Rose (Tom) Gauerke, Wausau; eight grandchildren, Jason Gauerke, Josh (Beth) Gauerke, Justin Gauerke, Jim (Stephanie) Jarovksi, Ann, Lisa, Christina and Julie Jarovksi; seven great grandchildren; and a special family friend, Tania Ewenko, Schofield. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. James Schaefer will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
