James "Jim" Stankowski, 22, Plover, died tragically Sunday, September 8, 2002 as a result of a car accident.
Jim was born October 20, 1979 in Marshfield son of Pamela Stankowski and Joseph Stankowski.
Jim worked for Hoffer's Glass, Schofield. Jim participated in period reenactments of the Native American culture at various Rendezvous Festivals. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Most of all he loved just being with his friends.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Stankowski, Plover and his father, Joseph (Karen) Stankowski, Waupaca, one sister, Tanya (Mark) Wilde, Wausau; maternal grandparents, Jan Berdan, Mosinee and Ron (Lea) Berdan, Antigo; paternal grandparents, Ernest (Mary) Stankowski, Marathon; aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one aunt, Julie Berdan; one cousin, Jeremy Stankowski.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. The Rev. Steven Foster will officiate. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the Marathon Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
