James D. Schubring

James D. Schubring 74, 400 River Dr., Wausau, died Thursday August 28, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Prior to his retirement, James had been employed with the Marathon County Highway Department. He was also a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Elaine (Kopp) Schubring, Wausau, his children, Christine (Nelson) Lake, Wausau, Charlaine (David) Hafeman, Wausau, Cynthia (Jon) Schwartz, Washington, Coral Axel, Colby, Al (Judy) Schubring, Wausau, Craig (Sue) Schubring, Wausau, Crystal (Bob) LaPean, Wausau, Cathleen (Mark) Sonnentag, Waukesha, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marlene (Norman) Gore, West Allis, Marilyn (Harold) Jenkins, Texas. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday September 2, 2003 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
