James W. Proft

James W. Proft 68, formerly of Athens, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Colonial Center, Colby. He was born September 22, 1936 in town of Johnson, son of the late Frank and Edna (Assmann) Proft. James was veteran of US Army and worked for the American Motors Chrysler Division, Kenosha until the time of his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, reading and was an avid Packer and Cubs fan. Survivors include, one sister, Alice (Robert) Guralski, Abbotsford; one brother, Tom (Mary Jane) Proft, Germantown; many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2004 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens.
