James J. Lashua

James J. Lashua 66, 510 Prospect Ave., Wausau, died Friday January 2, 2004 at his home. He was born October 23, 1937 in Schofield, son of the late Francis and Mabel (Pigeon) Lashua. James had been employed with Metz Roofing and most recently had worked for the Wausau Center Mall in maintenance. He enjoyed stock car racing and was a member of the pit crew for Wills Racing Team at State Park Speedway, Wausau. Survivors include his children, Tammy (Pete) Harmon, Wausau, Jerry Lashua, Berlin, Jennie (Randy Rice) Lashua, Wausau, five grandchildren, Brandon, Crystal, Brittany, Davis and Desiree; his siblings, Elmer (Bev) Lashua, Schofield, Roy (Karen) Lashua, Wausau, Art (Milly) Lashua, Town of Texas, Roger 'Bucky" Lashua, Schofield, Frances Wolf, Schofield, Florence (John) Vaughn, Indiana. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday January 6, 2004 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
