James M. Koehler
75, 1406 Brown Street, Wausau, died Saturday January 1, 2005 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born February 20, 1929, in Wausau, son of the late Emil and Sophie (Malak) Koehler. On February 14, 1953 he married Caroline Schultz at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.
Prior to his retirement, James had been employed at Wausau Papers, Brokaw for 31 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Nascar racing and football, especially the Packers.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion, Montgomery Plant Post No. 10, Wausau.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Koehler, Wausau, two sons, Tom Koehler, Wausau and Randy (Connie) Koehler, Schofield, two sisters, Marlene Sherfinski, Wausau, Phyllis (Dick) Schewe, Rockford, Ill., and one brother, George (Carol) Koehler, Tavares, Fla.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Weds. January 5, 2005 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Weds. From 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
