James R. Knoeck
58, Marathon died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 22, 1953 in Wausau, son of Laurell and Lorraine (Schreiber) Knoeck. He married Joanne Vondrasek in Wausau. She survives.
Jim was a loving husband. He was the owner and operator of Knoeck Inc. in Wausau, WI. He had a passion for cooking delicious dishes for his family and friends, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved listening to blues music and watching Packer games with a frosty mug of Spotted Cow in "His Shed". He was a courageous man with a wealth of knowledge, contagious laugh and high spirits cherished by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Knoeck, Marathon, his parents, Laurell and Lorraine Knoeck, Wausau, two daughters, Becky Knoeck, Chicago and Jessica Knoeck, Marathon, one step daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Wickersham, Weston and one step son, Shawn (Lori) Mathwich, Bowler, four grandchildren and three brothers, Larry (Jane) Knoeck, Marathon, Charles (Nancy) Knoeck, Wausau and David (Laura) Knoeck, Marathon along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at Noon, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jim's name.
