James Borski

James "Jim" Borski 76, Rothschild, passed away Monday August 16, 2010 at the Hospice House, Wausau. He was born January 8, 1934, in Wausau, son of the late Victor and Clara (Kwiatkowski) Borski. On June 7, 1958, he married Sally Platta at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. She survives. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1955 until 1957 with the Military Police. Jim had been employed with UPS for 26 years retiring in 1990. After retiring, he was associated with the Central Wisconsin Auto Auction for 20 years. He had a passion for driving, and enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially to Florida during the winter. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 248, Wausau. Jim led a simple life, was generous to all and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed especially by his wife, Sally, a daughter, Stephanie (Al) Ashbeck, Mosinee, two grandchildren, Ashley and Tanner, four legged buddies, Frank, Mia & Daisy, and two sisters, Rose Towle and Kathy Borski-Gabrielski, both of Wausau. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 21, 2010 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Private Inurnment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau at a later date. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Marathon County Humane Society, Salvation Army, or charity of your choice in Jim's name.
