Jacqueline E. Mroczenski

Jacqueline "Jackie" Mroczenski, 78, of Athens, died Saturday, October 6, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. She was born June 14, 1929 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Trojanowski) Jagodzinski. On September 16, 1950, she married Edward Mroczenski at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He survives. She was a homemaker and member of the Holy Family PCCW. Among her many interests, she enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, mending clothes, gambling and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. Jackie will always be remembered for her beautiful smile. She could do anything but drive a car and play sheepshead. Survivors include, her husband, Edward Mroczenski, Athens; nine children, Carol (Lynn Henrich) Mroczenski, Wausau, Colleen (Larry) Smith, Amherst, Jerome "Jerry" (Linda) Mroczenski, Edgar, Ron (Clarice) Mroczenski, Wausau, Geralyn Schug, Athens, Norma (John) Borowicz, Wausau, Brian "Mert" (Laurie) Mroczenski, Edgar, Mark (Dawn) Mroczenski, Athens and Mary (Tom) Pliska, Waupaca;18 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Lorraine Mosher, Pomona, Ca. and Theresa Woitkovich, Manitowoc, WI; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Charles Hiebl and Deacon Leroy Knauf will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski or the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank Ministry Home Care Hospice, Marshfield Clinic Oncology Department and Radiation Department, Marshfield and Dr. Kathryn Lynn for all the care and support given to Jackie and her family during the past four months.
