Jacob A. "Jack" Seubert
91, Weston, formerly of Marathon died Monday, August 15, 2011 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
He was born March 25, 1920 in Marathon, son of the late Peter and Katherine (Kaufman) Seubert.
Jacob was raised on the family farm with three sisters and three brothers. He graduated from Marathon High School and worked at Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle for a couple years and returned home to continue farming on the family farm.
Jack was a very religious and believed in the right things in life. He loved the outdoors and truly enjoyed farming, owning three farms at one time. He remained on the family farm at 1828 County Hwy NN, Marathon until moving to Renaissance Assisted Living. He had a love for animals large and small and also enjoyed polka dancing and listening to polkas. Jacob was a very interesting man and his friendship will be greatly missed.
Survivors include two sisters, Bernice Passehl, Arizona and Katherine Elliot, Maryland, one brother, Patrick (Marie) Seubert, Green Bay and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Haber-Renton and two brothers, Fred and Andrew Seubert.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
