Jack A. Streeter

Jack A. Streeter August 22, 1942 - November 11, 2004 Jack Streeter of Rockford, Ill., passed to eternal rest November 11, 2004 after months of struggle with cancer. Jack attended grade school and high school in the Wausau and Athens area and is a 1960 graduate of Newman High School. Upon graduation, Jack entered the United States Navy and served mostly at sea, from 1960 until 1964. Jack worked in retail from 1965 through 1984. In 1985 he joined Fran Kral Lincoln-Mercury and worked there until October 2004. Jack was also employed by Metro Center Security from August 1987 through September 2004 and Rockford Speedway, where he worked as a gate man from April 1997 through October 2004. Survivors include two sisters, Jill (John) Schlueter and Joyce (Thomas) Traska and one brother, Thad (Barbara) Streeter, one daughter, Katrinka (Keith) Helm and three grandchildren, Don, Jason and Kyle. He was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn and a brother, William. Jack loved the work he did and the people that he worked with. He especially loved working the pit gate at the speedway with Pam, Terri, Tara and Duwayne. Jack was married twice, Sally Geier 1964-1968 and Roxann Wincapaw 1976-1982. Jack's independent nature and love for his family and friends will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 16, 2004 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. aand again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
