Jacalyn "Jackie" M. Schoeder

January 25, 1951 — December 13, 2015

Jacalyn M. "Jackie" Schoeder, 64, Wausau died Sunday, December 13, 2015 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home. She was born January 25, 1951 in Wausau, daughter of the late Adolph and Dorothy (Schreiber) Bittner. On September 30, 2000 she married George Schoeder in Wausau. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2013. Jackie was employed by North Central Health Care Center for many years where she worked with the developmentally disabled, and later for Wausau School District as both a support staff sub and in food service. Jackie genuinely cared so much for others and would show this by giving many gifts and cards or simply sharing a smile. Her lasting affection for her former classmates dated back as far as grade school. She had a great sense of humor and was always up for some harmless pranks with her family and friends. Among her favorite pastimes were camping, shopping, traveling, playing cards and casino runs with her mother and sisters. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would show it by sometimes having as many as 7 Christmas trees on display. Jackie loved her friends and family and it brought her so much joy to spend time with them. Whether it be a Packer game with her husband and friends, board games with her children, dinner with her step-children, shopping with her nieces or simply watching TV and cuddling with her grandchildren, there was no place she would rather be. She will be fondly remembered by many. Survivors include her children Rebecca Jackson, Wausau and Stacey (Ben) Duberstein, Edgar, her grandchildren, Matthew (Jocilen) Klockziem, Kelsey (Ben Chojnacki) Landrath, Jacob Severt and Kaden Jackson, Daxton, Dakiah and Daleah Duberstein, one great granddaughter, Alexis Klockziem, four step children, Lisa Douglas, California, Michael (Stephaine) Schoeder, California, Deb (Roy) Edwards, Minnesota and Scott (Chrystal) Schoeder, Kentucky and 10 step grandchildren. Jackie is further survived by her siblings, Bill Bittner, Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Tom (Kay) Bittner, Mosinee, Judy Thurs and Gerry (Chuck) Parsch, both of Wausau. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother Michael Bittner, brother-in-law, Jim Thurs and her sister-in-law, Sue Bittner. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Jenn Collins will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jackie's name.
