Isabella H. Laumer
89, Marathon, died Friday, November 18, 2011 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.
She was born November 1, 1922 in the village of Marathon, daughter of the late Robert and Emma (Schmitt) Burk. On August 9, 1941 she married Albert Laumer at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1994.
Isabella was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed reading, embroidery, putting puzzles together and playing cards.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen (Donald) Zunker, Weston, Marlene (Keith Hanke) Hornung, Marathon and Loretta Kroening, Marshfield; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Albert, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Keding, great-grandson, Eric Bever and sisters, Myrtle Leitermann and Rosaline Buetow.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. The Rev. Jon W. Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
