Irma J. Wilde, 90, Wausau, died Friday November 27, 2015 at Aspirus Hospice House. She was born March 2, 1925, in Marathon, daughter of the late Alex Sr. and Adelia (Kopf) Baumann. On June 9, 1948, she was united in marriage to Alvin Wilde at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death July 28, 2009. Irma attended St. Mary Catholic Grade School, Wausau and Wausau Senior High School. Prior to her marriage she was employed at Toburen Studio and Woolworth Department Store. Following her marriage she was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and the time spent with family. Survivors include her 10 children, Mary (Larry) Rydell, Green Bay, Thomas (Patti) Wilde, Lake Tomahawk, Carla Carpenter, Wausau, Barbara Wilde, Austin, Texas, Steven (Diane) Wilde, Weston, Catherine (Howard) Attiliis, Lancaster, Virg., John Wilde, Wausau, Robert (Monica) Wilde, Wausau, Kevin Wilde, Ashburn, Virg. and Jane (Scott) Weber, Potomac Falls, Virg; One daughter-in-law, Kathryn Wilde, Wausau, 19 grandchildren, Tony (Christine) Rydell, Minneapolis, Minn., Aaron Rydell, Denver, Colo., Shawn (Heather) Wilde, Weston, Terry Wilde, Madison, Erik (Nann) Wilde, Schofield, Ann Wilde, Wausau, Amy (Matt Haeger) Wilde, Wausau, Erin (Kurt) Yusten, Weston, Leigh Carpenter, Wausau, Adam (Sheena) Wilde, Austin, Texas, Michael Glidewell, Austin, Texas, Jason (Jamie) Wilde, Weston, James (Felicia) Wilde, Weston, Joseph Wilde, Schofield, Justin (Jamie) Wilde, Mosinee, Isaac Wilde, Hyde Park, New York, Chelsea Weber, Keystone, Colo., Abigail and Dylan Weber, of Potomac Falls, Virg.; 10 great grandchildren, Megan and Alex Wilde, Lucas Haeger and Carson, Faith & Nicholas Wilde, Landon Wilde, Kace Wilde, Kaylyn & Nora Wilde; one sister, Carol (Ron) Niziolek, Elk River, Minn., two sisters-in-law, Betty Baumann and Bernadette Baumann, Wausau. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Fredrick Wilde, grandson, Andrew, son-in-law, Bruce Carpenter, daughter-in-law, Susan Wilde-Harn, two sisters, Alexine Baumann and Adelia Jackson and brothers, Charles, Ubald and Alex Jr. Baumann. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 3, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Schaller will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. Special thanks to John Wilde and Carla Carpenter for their long term care which allowed Irma to remain in her home.
