Irma T. Schneveis

Irma T. Schneveis 93, 500 Washington Street, Athens, died Thursday December 12, 2002 at her home. She was born March 20, 1909 in the town of Bern, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Offer) Leisle. On September 12, 1931 she married Joseph F. Schneveis at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He preceded her in death July 10, 1985. Irma was a homemaker and had also been a cook at the Athens High School. She was a member of the town of Johnson Homemakers Club for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Bartlett, Northbrook, Ill., a son, Henry Schneveis, Athens, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a brother, Dan Leisle, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joe Bartlett and two brothers, Ed and Elmer Leisle. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday December 16, 2002 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 5 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
