Irma M. Koenig

Irma M. Koenig, 93, Wausau, died Monday, February 10, 2014 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home. She was born December 22, 1920 in the town of Stettin, daughter of the late Carl and Clara (Dehnel) Koenig. Irma worked at Marathon Electric in Wausau and then worked at the former St. Mary's Hospital in Wausau for 10 years. She retired from Mount View Care Center as a dietary aid after 30 years of service. Irma lovingly cared for her parents until they passed away. Survivors include, two brothers, Harold (Hilda) Koenig, Wausau and Ervin Koenig, Stettin; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dora Marquardt; and one brother, Gilbert Koenig. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, Rib Mountain. Rev. Craig Swenson will officiate. Burial will be in the Stettin Christian Cemetery.
