Iris M. Brown

Iris M. Brown 78, Wausau, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born February 13, 1928 in Wausau, daughter of the late Alfred and Suzanne (Captain) Zillman. On October 1, 1949, she married Patrick Brown at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. He survives. Iris worked for the former Wausau Insurance Company until her retirement. Among her many interests, she enjoyed traveling and tending to her flower garden. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau. Survivors include her husband, Patrick Brown, Wausau; and her daughter, Kelly Brown Ph.D., Melbourne, Fla. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Henke. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2006 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda will officiate. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
