Irene H. Wisneski
88, Wausau died Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at Sylvan Crossing, Wausau.
She was born July 30, 1914 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Vincent and Stella Kolacinski. On August 31, 1940, she married Joseph Wisneski at St. Helen Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1999.
Irene and Joseph lived in Milwaukee until 1997 then moving to Madison. After Joseph's death, Irene moved to Wausau in September of 2000. She enjoyed traveling, square dancing, sewing and going to musical plays and movies.
Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia (Nick) Kaufmann, Hustler; two sons, Cyril (Shiela) Wisneski, San Diego, Calif. and Chris (Helen) Wisneski, Wausau; six grandchildren, Ronald (Lisanne) Kaufmann, Bartlett, Ill., Jesse Wisneski, San Diego, Calif., Dion Wisneski, Wausau, Lenore (Mike) Shanahan, Madison, Scott Wisneski, St. Cloud, Fla. and Erika (Jack) Gostomski, Deerfield, Ill; three great grandchildren, Tiffney Wisneski, Samual John Gostomski and Andrew Jon Shanahan; one sister, Sophie Musial, Milwaukee.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Harry and Leonard Kolacinski; one sister, Geraldine Malewicki.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee in the Chapel of Flowers. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the Wisconsin Memorial Park. The family will also greet friends following the service.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
