Irene H. Sekorski

Irene H. Sekorski 81, Edgar, died Saturday July 29, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. She was born October 29, 1924, in Marathon, daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Murr) Hornung. On October 4, 1950, she married Florian Sekorski in Marathon. He survives. Irene had been employed at Marathon Cheese Corp., for over 26 years, retiring in 1988. Spending time with her grandchildren and playing sheepshead were Irene's passions. She loved to bake and will be remembered for her fabulous pies. Survivors include her husband, Florian Sekorski, Edgar, a son, Robert (Sandy) Sekorski, Edgar, two grandchildren, Scott (Tyra Chlebowski) Sekorski, Weston and Amy (Matt) Hendricksen, Madison. Irene was a special grandmother to Jacob. She is also survived by one brother, Albin (Mary Ann) Hornung, Marathon, four sisters, Helen Kummerow, Schofield, Florence (Ray) Kage, Wausau, Lorraine (Arnold Sr.) Krautkramer, Marathon and Joan (Mark) Boehm, Wausau. The funeral mass will be celebrated 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Norman Boneck will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at www.petersonkraemer.com
