In lieu of flowers, family has requested that memorials may directed to the Hospice House, Wausau.
In a changeable, mixed-up world, Irene was a constant shining star. She lived her life completely devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She mended socks, ironed Dad's shirts, cooked a mean meatloaf, attended every event in which any child or grandchild took part, and faithfully hung up 17 stockings every Christmas Eve. Her simple gracious life of service, love and sacrifice allowed us to grow up secure, happy and hopeful. Irene was a blessing to everyone who knew her and heaven shines brighter now with her smile. We miss you, Mom, with all our hearts, but, because God keeps His promises, we can't wait to hold you again. We Love You.
