Irene R. Klodd

Irene R. Klodd 88, Wausau, formerly of Burlington, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at her home. She was born January 27, 1923 in Chicago, daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Jablonski) Paczynski. On February 17, 1946, she married Frank N. Klodd in Chicago. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1993. Irene grew up in Chicago and moved to Burlington in the 1950's. She resided in the Wausau area for the past five years. For many years, Irene worked for the former Foster-Forbes Company in Burlington, until her retirement. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed playing cards and was an avid bingo player. Survivors include, one daughter, Bonnie (Larry) Sanders, Wausau; two sons, Steve (Linda) Klodd, Granbury, Tex. and David (Anne) Klodd, Lincolnwood, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Tim (Dawn) Klodd, Steven (Katie) Klodd, Katie (Matt Preissner) Sanders, Betsy (Chad) Bergo, Michael Sanders, Elizabeth Klodd and William Klodd; six great grandchildren, Andrew, Alexa, Zachary, Ella and Owen Klodd and Carolina Bergo; one brother, Richard (Catherine) Paczynski, Chicago; and her "adopted daughter", Armella Sanders. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. There will be a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington at a later date.
