Irene Budleski

Irene Budleski, 93, Hatley, died Saturday January 11, 2014 at her home. She was born June 24, 1920, in Wausau, daughter of the late Charles Wendler and Martha Trzebiatowski. After the death of her mother when Irene was five years old, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Dominika and Frank Letarski. On October 28, 1944, she married Joseph A. Budleski in Hatley. He preceded her in death July 22, 2008. Prior to the time of their retirement, Joe and Irene were dairy and ginseng farmers in the town of Reid. Through the years, Irene was an active member of the Rosary Society at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Rose. Among her favorite pastimes were playing cards and Bingo. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Stanley (Connie) Budleski, Weston, Rodale (Brenda) Budleski, Hatley and Alan (Judy) Budleski, Lake Geneva, a son-in-law, LaVerne Stoltz, Hatley, nine grandchildren, Mary (Joey) Ninnemann, Kelly Spaay, Eric (Nicole) Budleski, Luke (Carie) Budleski, Peggy Stoltz, Paula (John) Smagacz, Ariel, Bryce and Shanell Budleski, ten great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Stoltz and 10 brothers and sisters. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 14, 2014 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Rev. Roy Witucki will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
