Hubert L. Windorski

Hubert L. Windorski 83, Wausau, died Friday, June 8, 2007 at his home. He was born October 18, 1923 in the town of Sharon, son of the late John and Susan (Bednarski) Windorski. On February 15, 1947 he married Margaret Cieciora at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives. Hubert served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post No. 10, Wausau. He worked as a printer for American Can formerly known as Marathon Corporation. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, Wausau; children, Butch (Libbi) Windorski, Dayton, Minn., Donald (Tanya) Windorski, Riverbank, Calif., Darold (Tracy) Windorski, Albertville, Minn. and Deanna Welch, Lake Almanor, Calif.; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; five sisters, Sadie (Leonard) Gruna, Galloway, Wanda Davidowski, Florence Cherek, both of Milwaukee, Emma Brzezinski, Wausau and Dorothy Nowitzke, Wausau; three brothers, Phillip Windorski, Schofield, Ray (Rose) Windorski, Lancaster, Calif. and David (Janet) Windorski, Wausau, many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Leo, Ted, Ben, Daniel and Clarence and one son-in-law, Jim Welch. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau where full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 10. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
