Howard Herring
84, 311 Lazy Acre Road, Wausau died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born February 17, 1924 in West Allis, son of the late Claude and Martha (Drager) Herring. On March 16, 1946 he married Margaret Urban in West Allis. She survives.
Howard worked for Jacobus Co. in Wauwatosa for more than 40 years until his retirement. Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, camping and spending time up north at his cabin. Above all things he cherished the time he spent with his family especially his grandchildren.
Howard served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife Margaret Herring, Wausau, his children, Barbara (Richard) Klug, Wausau, Robert (Mary) Herring, Dousman, Jody (Jim) Marlenga, Athens, Nancy (John) Peterson, West Allis and Mike (Connie) Herring, Wauwatosa, five grandchildren and one great grandchild and one brother William (Lenore) Herring, Muskego.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Chaplain Robert Polesnak will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Athens funeral home.
