Hildegarde Gregory

Hildegarde Gregory 87, Wausau and formerly of Shawano, died Saturday, April 5, 2003 at Kennedy Park Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Schofield. She was born on December 4, 1915 in the town of Hewitt, daughter of the late William and Bertha (Genrich) Duetsch. She married William Laffin. He preceded her in death. She then married Ralph Gregory. He preceded her in death. Hildegarde was a waitress for 30 years and then went to work at the Shawano Hospital as a nurse's aid until the time of her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Shawano. Survivors includes, two daughters, Bonnie (Lester) Zubke, Wausau and Faye Maas, Schofield; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many step grandchildren and great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Carol Laffin, Shawano. Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Dennis Laffin; two sisters, Evelyn Weber and Erlynda Paulus; one brother, Elmer Duetsch. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano. Rev. Michael Schram will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Friends may call from 9:30. a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
