Herbert Fromm

Herbert F. Fromm 74, Hamburg, died peacefully at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services on Friday evening, November 1, 2002 He was born September 8, 1928 in Wausau, son of the late Herbert A. and Alma (Schoenherr) Fromm. On October 8, 1960, he married Marjorie Oelke in Hamburg. She survives. They have three children, Robert Fromm, Marathon, Karen (Scott) Mann, Merrill and Eric (Julie) Fromm, Solon Springs. Herb was a caring husband, father and grandfather to four grandchildren, Mitchell and Lucas Fromm, Tess and Amanda Mann. Also surviving are two brothers, William (Alice) Fromm, Hamburg and Norman (Fannell) Fromm, Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada; many nieces and nephews. Herb worked at the former Fromm Bros, Hamburg and had his own welding and repair shop in Little Chicago and worked at the former Hartwig Manufacturing, Wausau from 1970 until retiring in 1990. He enjoyed reading, watching travel videos and was an avid polka listener and was a Jeopardy buff. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Town of Hamburg. Rev. Douglas Helling will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church. Special thanks to Dr. Don Evans for his valiant efforts, the staff of Pine Crest Nursing Home and Good Samaritan Hospital for their exemplary caregiving.
