Henry Siekierzynski, 88, of Schofield, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Pine Meadows under the care of Compassus Hospice. He was born on March 25, 1936 in Ringle to the late Kashmir and Anna (Zelica) Siekierzynski.
In his early years, beginning in 1959, Henry served his country in the U.S. Army until 1965 He was stationed in California, near Death Valley, at the Desert Training Center. For a time, at the conclusion of his military service, Henry was a bus driver for Greyhound. He then worked in the paper industry for Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Neenah and Weyerhaeuser in Rothschild. He will be remembered especially for his helpfulness to family and others with projects they had. Henry had the great ability and patience to work on anything and was the family handyman. He had a love for his grandchildren and always enjoyed the times together. Henry also enjoyed the outdoors and deer hunting.
Survivors include his children, Paula Pacheco, Jill Rodriguez, and Todd Siekierzynski; step-children, Lisa Kleman and Jeffery Wendt; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Adam; sister, Irene; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Adrian; three brothers; and one sister.
A funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with military honors accorded by V.F.W. Burns Post #388.
