Henry H. Sherfinski

Henry H. Sherfinski 90, 408 Everest Ave., Brokaw, died Saturday October 20, 2001 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born January 4, 1911 in Brokaw, son of the late Felix and Clara (Goytowski) Sherfinski. On August 31, 1940 he was united in marriage with Cecilia Hoffmann in Edgar. She survives. Henry had been employed with Wausau Paper Mill, Brokaw for 46 years. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus George Schreier Council #1069, Wausau and the Pere Rene Menard General Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Wausau. Henry was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection, Wausau, for many years. He enjoyed carpentry work, gardening, singing, telling tall tales and teaching his grandchildren Polish. In addition to his wife Cecilia, survivors include four children, Sandra (Anthony) Fox, Wausau, Darlene (James) LeSage, Pleasant Prairie, Keith (Fiance' Cindy Hansen) Sherfinski, Wausau, and Rand (Joanna) Sherfinski, Hartland, nine grandchildren, Sabina Fox, Brian (Tracie) Fox, Tony Fox, Todd (Pattie) LeSage, Nicole LeSage, Troy (Julie) Sherfinski, Brad Sherfinski, Hannah and Joshua Sherfinski, five great-grandchildren, T.J., Tyler & Jackson LeSage, Annika and Rylie Fox, one brother, Roman Sherfinski, Southport, No. Carloina, three sisters, Irene Brunell, Burbank, Calif., Lillian Johnson, Auburn, Calif. and Selma Natal, Wausau. He is also survived by two aunts, Florence Molski and Regina Zinda, Stevens Point. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ramona and Regina and two brothers, Edward and Clifford. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 25, 2001 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Weds. at the Sixth Street funeral home.
