Henry Nowak

Henry Nowak 74, Wausau died Wednesday, October 9, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1928 in Marathon County, son of the late John and Helen (Lepak) Nowak. On October 8, 1950, he married Evelyn Stankowski. She survives. Henry worked at the Edgar Packaging Plant for 28 years until the plant closed. Survivors include five daughters, Elaine Petrowski and Sarah (Jeff) Dahlke all of Edgar, Susan (Steven) Wiesneski, Wausau, Rosalie (Jack) Hagie, Prairie Du Sac and Betty (Jeff) Harmon, River Falls; ten sons, Walter Nowak, Philip (Kristen) Nowak, Charles (Elizabeth) Nowak and Frederick (Patti) Nowak all of Wausau, Mark (Jenny) Nowak, Marathon, Louis Nowak, Chicago, Arthur (Kathleen) Nowak, Alan (Lori) Nowak, Duane (Penny) Nowak and Richard (Lisa) Nowak all of Edgar; 34 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Karlen, Marathon and Marcella Petrowski, Wausau; one brother, Alex (Mary) Nowak, Menomonee Falls. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Aaron and one brother, John Nowak. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Town of Cassel. Rev. Joseph Batkiewicz will preside. Burial will be in the parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of arrangements.
