Henrietta G. Volm
89, formerly of Marathon, died Sunday, September 29, 2002 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.
She was born November 14, 1912 in Schofield, daughter of the late Fred and Ottilia (Domnick) Volkman. She married Harvey Bloom. He died in 1933. Then on February 12, 1934, she married Nickolaus Volm at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1999.
Henrietta was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, crocheting and visiting with her family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Ottilia "Tillie" Hugley, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four sons, Christie (Geraldine) Bloom, Marathon, William "Bill" (Ursula) Volm, Rib Mountain, Thomas (Marilyn) Volm, Dolores, Colorado and Charles (Sharon) Volm, Oostburg; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Anna) Volkman, Lutz, Florida; one daughter-in-law, Judith (Leonard) Berg, Edgar.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Nicholas Volm; one daughter, Nancy Lang; two brothers, Fred and Walter Volkman.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday; October 2, 2002 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary School, Marathon.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
