Helen M. Zocher
94, Wausau, died Thursday July 3, 2008 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.
She was born June 23, 1914 in Lancaster, daughter of the late Bernard and Louise (Wahl) Weide. On April 11, 1931, she married Henry Zocher in Alma Center. He preceded her in death April 27, 1997.
Prior to moving into Wausau following retirement, Helen and Henry lived and farmed in the town of Hamburg and Helen also had been employed for 10 years at Fromm Brothers. She loved music, playing the organ and was a member of the Wausau Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Lehmann, Wausau, one son, Gerald (Lois) Zocher, Wausau, six grandchildren, Karen (Dan) Manowski, Wausau, Mark (Sue) Lehmann, Weston, Bryan (RoAnn) Zocher, Kalamazoo, Mich., Kerri (Todd) Olson, Ogema, Brent Zocher, Wausau, Jay (Sara) Zocher, Ann Arbor, Mich., seven great grandchildren, Kristin, Jason, Sam, Nathan, Nicholas, Henry and Lilly.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Herman Lehmann, an infant son, Donald, three brothers, Leo, Clarence and Ralph Weide.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday July 6, 2008 at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church. Rev. Thomas Hoelter will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
