Helen M. Singkofer

Helen M. Singkofer 57, Wausau, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at her home. She was born March 6, 1952 in Marathon County, daughter of Helen (Jansen) Tambornino of Wausau and the late Charles Tambornino. On July 29, 1972, she married Fred Singkofer in Wausau. He survives. Helen was very proud to have owned and operated the former Heavenly Brew Coffee Shop in the Wausau Center Mall and also spent many years waitressing at the Hoffman House, Rib Mountain. Survivors include, her husband, Fred Singkofer, Wausau; her mother, Helen Tambornino, Wausau; two sons, Craig (Rachel) Singkofer and Erick Singkofer, both of Wausau; five grandchildren, Danielle, Allison, Zachary, James and Alaina; ten siblings, Charles (Diane) Tambornino, Tinson, Ala., Gerald (Sharon) Tambornino, Loudon, Tenn., Marie (David) Czaja, Shakopee, Minn., Evelyn Leveritt, San Antonio, Tex., Judy (Len) Berg, Edgar, David (June) Tambornino, Wausau, Ben Tambornino, Los Angeles, Cal., Ruth (Gary) Koch, Wausau, Theresa (Randy) Matz, Wausau and Michael (Toni) Tambornino, Mosinee ; her father and mother-in-law, Victor and Leona Singkofer, Grand Island, Nebr.; and many other relatives and friends. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
