Helen Roeder

Helen Roeder 94, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Homme Home, Wittenberg. She was born July 29, 1914 in Leavenworth, Wash., daughter of the late Julius and Mary (Marie) (Stoklasa) Kittle Schmidt. On September 9, 1933 she married Herman Roeder who preceded her in death. Herman and Helen owned and operatered a dairy farm in the town of Texas until retirement. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie (Ronald) Nass, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Darla (Jerry) Halkoski, Oconomowoc and Sandra (Edward) Thorn, Wausau; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Roeder, Wausau; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers, Kenneth Schmidt, Wausau and James Schmidt; sisters-in-law, Bernice Roeder, Fern Kittle and Kathy Kittle; many other nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Herman, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Herman J. Roeder, a son, Randy Roeder, brothers, Anton Kittle, Joseph Schmidt and Arnold Kittle and sisters, Evelyn Bauman and Marie Muenster. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Mission Cemetery, town of Texas.
