Helen M. Morris

Helen M. Morris 89, Wausau, died Tuesday April 29, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born April 8, 1919, in LaCrosse, daughter of the late George Kish and Anna (Faas) Gregory. On July 23, 1955, she married John Morris. He preceded her in death June 14, 1966. Helen was a homemaker and a home care giver. She enjoyed helping people, playing bingo, cards and watching old western movies. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Don) Butzlaff, Weston and Barbara LaFave, Wausau, a son, Howard (Shirley) Woods, Wausau, nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday May 1, 2008 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
