Helen R. Kuyoth

Helen R. Kuyoth 88, W3710 CTH H, Edgar, died Saturday January 3, 2004 at the Drake House, Marshfield. She was born September 12, 1915 in the town of Wein, daughter of the late John and Frances Krause. On October 10, 1937 she married Peter Kuyoth at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. He survives. As a lifelong parishoner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Helen sang in the adult choir and served in the Parish Council of Catholic Women as secretary and vice president. In her early married life, she worked at the Edgar Basket Factory and throughout her married years, was the bookkeeper for her husband. She enjoyed flower gardening, craftwork, crocheting, knitting and ceramics. Special to her was the time spent with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Peter Kuyoth, Edgar; three daughters, Jeanne Schilling, Edgar; Alice Brien, Aspen, Colo.; Sharon Hameister, Racine; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Poull Brien and Emmett Schilling, one sister, Mary Nowak, six brothers, Stanley, Adam, Anton, John, Edward and Alex Krause. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 9, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. Rev. Barnabas Kyeah will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of arrangements.
