Helen C. Goetsch

Helen C. Goetsch, 97, Wausau, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Aspirus Hospice House. She was born March 5, 1921 in Stratford, daughter of the late Allen and Martha Hughes. She married Ervin Goetsch on July 21, 1941. They had seven children. Survivors include, her sister, Genevieve Plant, Wausau; her children, Allen Goetsch, Wausau, Gary (Sue) Goetsch, Eau Claire, Tom (Barb) Goetsch, Wausau and Lynn (Tom) O'Malley, Stevens Point; her sons-in-law, John Sahr, Wausau and Larry Potts, Tomahawk; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Goetsch, Kronenwetter. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; her daughters, Kathy Potts and Karen Sahr; her son, Mark Goetsch; and grandsons, Scott Goetsch and Joey Goetsch. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Peter Kieffer will preside. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff and volunteers at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.
