Hattie M. Meyer

Hattie M. Meyer 90, Mosinee, died Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at Cedar Ridge Elder Services, Mosinee She was born November 26, 1911 in Bancroft, daughter of the late John and Lena (Haen) Kons. On June 30, 1934, she married Clarence Meyer at St. Mary Catholic Church, Menomonee Falls. He preceded her in death. Hattie and Clarence moved to Poniatowski area in 1945, where they farmed until the time of their retirement in 1965. She helped organize the Hi Neighbors Homemakers Club, and remained an active member for 50 years. They moved to the Wausau area where they were residents for 33 years. Hattie loved to sew and did alterations for many years. She was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Survivors include one son, John Meyer, San Jose, CA; one daughter, Karen (Sidney) Ellenbecker, Lake DuBay; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and one sister, Marge Leatherdale, Ft. Meyer, FL. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and 4 brothers. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2001 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Anthony Dichoso will preside. Burial will be in the Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. There will be a 7:00 p.m. bible vigil Friday at the 6th St. funeral home. The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorials may be directed to St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau or The National Parkinson Foundation. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
