Harvey L. Wilde

Harvey L. Wilde, 92, Wausau died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Our House Senior Living, Memory Care, Wausau. He was born September 15, 1923 in the town of Rib Falls, son of the late Walter and Amanda (Steidinger) Wilde. On November 15, 1947 he married Verene Krieg in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on February 26, 2004. Harvey worked at Lawrence Narloch & Sons Plastering for more than 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, traveling and listening and dancing to polka music. He was also proud of his huge vegetable and flower gardens. Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include his children, Rodney (Barbara) Wilde, Wausau, Russell (Judy) Wilde, Kronenwetter and Carol Matysik, Edgar, 7 grandchildren, Renee Wilde, Rachel Wilde, Ryan (Carlee) Wilde, Michele (Marty) Cole, Nicole Matysik, Jeremy Matysik and Joshua (Chastity) Matysik, 4 great grandchildren, Devonte Fisher, Alayna Cole, Amelia Cole and Bree Matysik, his siblings, Adeline Hanke, Marathon, Alladine (Wilmer) Thurs, town of Hamburg, Jeanette Mathwich, Marathon, Duaine Wilde, Mosinee and Marlene (Wayne) Teske, Merrill. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Wilde, Edna Bargender and son-in-law, Jerry Matysik. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church, 3010 Eagle Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. Tim Swanson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
