Harry P. Szalewski

Harry P. Szalewski 94, Schofield, died Monday, July 8, 2002 at Kennedy Park Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Schofield. He was born September 28, 1907 in Town of Alban, son of the late Charles and Rose (Golomski) Szalewski. On October 28, 1928 he married Regina Kostuch at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Rosholt. She preceded him in death on March 27, 1957. In 1958, he married Lottie Jaecks at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on December 29, 1979. Harry was employed at the former Connor Forest Industries and Underwood Veneer Company, Wausau as a lathe operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and playing dartball. He was a member of the Weston Trap Club. Survivors include one son, Clarence A. (Sally) Szalewski, Wausau and their children, Clarie (Bruce) Fehlhaber and Charles J. (JoAnn) Szalewski; one daughter, Dolores (Lawrence) Achenreiner, Weston and their children, Linda (James) Young, Lori (Dave) Jeannette and Larry (Gwen) Achenreiner; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; one sister, Angeline Yenter, Stevens Point. Besides his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister and 12 brothers. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Rosholt. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
