Harry Kelly

Harry "Joe" J. Kelly 72, Wausau, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at his home. He was born March 27, 1937 in Richmond, Va., son of the late Harry and Maude (Gilbert) Kelly. In his younger years, Joe had been employed as a deputy with the Forest County Sheriff's Department and prior to his retirement he was self employed as a carpenter. Among his many interests, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include seven children, Joleen (Dana) Houts, Menasha, Jerry (Karen) Kelly, Appleton, Gary Kelly and Dennis (Terri) Kelly both of Wausau, Missy Kelly, Milwaukee, Kristee and Britany Kelly both of Wausau; nine grandchildren, Shannon, Sharon, Trent, Travis, Dennis Jr., Jessica, Kaitlin, Marlin and Nicole; three great grandchildren, Mya, Lilly and Riley; one sister, Jane (Roy) Rassmusson, Laona and his dear friend, Yvonne Brandt, Wausau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Nathan. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Laona Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. Friday until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
