Harry A. Blair, 92, Wausau passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his home.

He was born on July 16, 1932 in Morristown, New Jersey.  On August 21, 1954 he married Adele Steeber in New Jersey.  She passed away on December 12, 2020.

Harry graduated high school at 16 and joined the U.S. Navy at 17 and served during the Korean War. He was an aviation metalsmith in an experimental squadron (jets). After an honorable discharge he returned to NJ and worked in aviation prior to moving to Wisconsin in 1958. He worked at Staghorn Archery in Merrill and as a millwright at Brokaw Papers prior to joining the State Patrol. He served 26 years as a State Trooper, Investigator and Inspector.  After retiring he worked as a reserve deputy for Marathon County Sheriff Office. He was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing were a passion with hunts in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado or fishing in Canada as well as Wisconsin. He enjoyed numerous shooting sports and activities throughout his life. He enjoyed passing on his passion for shooting sports to others and was one of the first instructors for the program, “Becoming An Outdoors Woman”. A highlight in his later years was a trip with Honor Flight to Washington DC. He enjoyed his family and watching the family grow.

Survivors include his children, Audrey (Jeff) Sniegowski and Howard Blair: grandchildren, Tyler (Ksenija), Alexandra (David), Colton, Leah (Zach), Tessa, Gabriella, and Ariana and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents and sister, Hilah (McCahill), and brothers, Gail, Frank, James, Dean and Louis.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.  The Rev. Tim Swanson will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Chapel at Restlawn Memorial Park.  Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
