Harris ''Harry'' Milbeck

September 30, 1919 — December 23, 2001

Harris "Harry" Milbeck 82, 127 CTH A, Marathon, died Sunday December 23, 2001 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born September 30, 1919 in Marathon, son of the late Henry and Emma (Heil) Milbeck. He was married to Delores Kosinski from 1946 until 1990. She survives. Harry had been employed at Marathon Cheese Corporation and was co-owner of Heindl & Milbeck Bar, Marathon. He enjoyed playing concertina and outdoor sports. During World War II he served in the Army in the South Pacific and the European Theatre. He was a member of the American Legion Alois Dreikosen Post #469, Marathon. Survivors include one son, Thomas (Pat) Milbeck, Ringle, three daughters, Sharon (Nick) Schultz, Irma, Char (Dennis) Lewandoski, Wausau, and Sandra (Daryl) Schmitt, Edgar, his special friend, Clara Roesler, Marathon 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, Jerome (Palmerina) Milbeck, Muskego. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Fred Milbeck and three sisters, Marie Blaszkowski, Florence Heindl and Irene Kaczmarczyk. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 28, 2001 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by the Marathon American Legion. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
