Harold T. Zastrow

Harold T. Zastrow 81, Wausau, died Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born August 3, 1924 in Wausau, son of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Dezur) Zastrow. On October 20, 1951, he married Elisabeth "Bette" Tarras in Wausau. She preceded him in death on May 28, 1998. Harold was the former owner of Zastrow Milk Trucking. Among his many interests, he enjoyed baking treats for friends and family, watching the Packers on television, gardening and spending time with his wife, Bette, at the cottage in Tomahawk. Survivors include, four children, all of Wausau, Cindy (Chuck) Miller and their children, Shayna and Evan, Sharon (Charles) Kennedy and their children, Ryan (Melanie) and Justin, Robert (Julie) Zastrow and their children, Thomas and Katie and John (Debbie) Zastrow and their children, Jeremy and Joshua; two sisters, Florence Marquardt, town of Maine and Hazel Krueger, Schofield; one brother, Leon (Ruth) Zastrow, town of Wausau; and one sister-in-law, Mae Zastrow, Schofield. Besides his parents and wife, Bette, he was preceded in death by one brother, LeRoy Zastrow. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
