Harold A. Westfall

Harold A. "Hecky" Westfall 78, Athens, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. He was born on August 11, 1928 in the town of Hamburg, son of the late Andrew and Sofia (Greiner) Westfall. On October 28, 1950, he married Delores Weiler at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. She survives. Harold retired at age 55 from the Marathon County Highway Department after many years of service. Among his many interests he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and playing cards. Survivors besides his wife, Delores Westfall, Athens include his daughters, Connie (Bruce) Radloff, Athens, Nancy Ziebell, Wausau and Michelle (Robert) Wheatley, Athens; five grandchildren, Brian (Kristi) Radloff, Athens, Julie Ziebell, Wausau, Kurt (Jaci) Ziebell, Merrill, Derek Wheatley, Athens and Anna Wheatley, Athens; two great grandchildren, Brent and Marisa Radloff, Athens; two brothers, Rick Westfall, Athens, and Donald (Marlene) Westfall, Athens; five sisters, LaVern Kramm, Ely, Minnesota, Lucinda Nehrbass, Wausau, Myrtle (Elmer) Nimmerguth, Eau Claire, Iris (Frank) Schreiner, Athens and Marcella (Joe) Scheithauer, Medford. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Gordon and Kenneth Westfall, and one sister Clara Hennig. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
