Harold R. Raymond

Harold R. Raymond 92, formerly of Schofield, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born February 24, 1911 in Wausau, son of the late Carl and Mary (Brechlin) Raymond. On November 9, 1935, he married Angeline Scutkowski at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on December 29, 1994. A US Navy veteran, Harold served with the Sea-Bees during World War II. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, Wausau. Harold worked for Wausau Paper Mills until retiring in 1976. Among his favorite things to do were hunting, fishing and camping. Survivors include one daughter, Rosemary (Joseph) Wianecki, Eagle River; one son, David (Connie Ann) Raymond, Schofield; four grandchildren, Carrie Rae Henke, John Wianecki, Keith Henke and Debra Clemens; six great grandchildren, Kenneth, Nichelle, Kasey Jo, Elizabethanne, Christy Rose and Cara Ann; one sister, Dorothy Mueller, Wausau. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Henke; five sisters and three brothers. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2003 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter where military honors will be conducted by the Wausau VFW. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Monday until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
